Kia ora! My name is Rachael Taylor proud Principal of Campbells Bay School since 2019, and Deputy Principal since 2013. Opening in 1925, our school community is rich in history and connections and it is exciting to build on the success of this past, use it to inform our present and make sure that the future is just as aspirational, relevant and responsive.

Our decile ten school has experienced roll growth since 2014 and we now have a stable student roll of between 900-1000. Campbells Bay School caters for students between the ages of 5-11 who live within the school’s enrolment zone*. Set in park-like grounds the school has many purposeful-built facilities to provide for the needs of our students. Our greatest asset is our people and this includes passionate and committed staff alongside a supportive and engaged community.

My aim is to ensure that our focus is always on what is most important, our students. Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arahia o tātou mahi – let the uniqueness of the child guide the work. Our school vision is to grow learners for life who strive for excellence. Our actions are designed to ensure the ambition of this vision is a day to day reality for our students. The learning opportunities we provide help our students to pursue passions, identify their strengths and most importantly to provide a breadth of experiences for the start of a strong educational foundation.

*To avoid overcrowding the school has an enrolment scheme that is strictly enforced.
