Guide to Reading at Home
Please find the whānau guide to reading at home attached.
This has been put together by the Literacy Steering group using research about how best to encourage children to read at home and how families can support this. We have written it so it can go across our phases. Thanks very much, everyone, for your work on this.
We have also had it translated into Korean and Mandarin. Huge thanks to Emily Chang, Andrew Bian and Regina Noh at Rangitoto College for translating it.
Each year we hold a number of parent sessions to share how we teach and what learning looks like for your child. We also update this page with recent articles, videos and information that we think will help share and build and understanding on what teaching and learning looks like at CBS.
