Kia ora CBS whānau,

We are writing to let you know that Rachael Taylor has resigned from her role as Principal.

After almost 10 years at Campbells Bay School, Rachael has made the hard decision to change her pace of life and spend more time with her family. She has the Board’s full support.

We want to thank Rachael for her strong leadership and dedication to CBS, guiding the school through some unprecedented highs and lows and always putting the students first.

Rachael has generously agreed to extend her notice period so we have more time to find the right replacement and ensure a smooth transition. She will stay on throughout Term 1 next year, leaving in April 2023.

We appreciate that changes in leadership can be unsettling, and we’d like to reassure the community that the Board has already begun discussing the recruitment process and are engaging a specialist education recruiter who has extensive networks in this sector and will be able to place the opportunity in front of the right candidates. We are confident that CBS will attract high calibre applicants and we will keep you informed of progress.

We’re sure you will all join us in thanking Rachael for everything she has done for the school and wishing her the very best for her next chapter.

Ngā mihi nui,

CBS School Board
