COVID-19 Update
Since our last newsletter the school has had five students positive with COVID-19. Our numbers at this stage seem to be remaining reasonably low. A good sign for our community.
Board Elections 2022
Schools hold elections every three years, and our next election is in September 2022.
All parents, legal guardians and immediate caregivers of students enrolled full-time at Campbells Bay can, and should, vote in the elections for parent representatives.
More details will be available throughout this term about the representatives we are seeking and then nominations will take place in July.
Please ensure the office has your current email address details if these have recently changed, as we will be using an electronic platform this year.

Fun Run
Year Four, Five and Six Cross Country Run
Last Tuesday 7 June, the year four, five and six competitive cross country trial run was held at Sunnynook Park. We had an impressive turn out for this event with approximately 190 students registering to take part. It was awesome to see so many students working hard towards reaching their goals and challenging themselves on this run course. A big thank you to all the parent helpers who gave up their morning to help marshal the event. We could not hold this event without their help.
Well done to all the students who took part in the run. All runners can be super proud of themselves and the effort and determination they showed out on the course. Congratulations to the following runners who placed in the top 10 in their race!

31 minute Walk the Talk Bootcamp for Youth Mental Health!
On the 28 May, Ansua Coetser and some CBS students and their families held a Bootcamp to raise funds for youth mental health and to raise awareness for supporting youth mental health in our community. The kids and their parents gave it their all and showed great commitment and endurance in completing the 31 minute Walk the Talk Bootcamp for Youth Mental Health!
Their Bootcamp consisted of 7 sections, 2 people per section, exercising for 2 minutes non-stop and resting for 30 sec in-between, before moving to the next section. Everyone participated and completed an amazing 20 minutes of exercise. After a snack and drink they played some games for 11 minutes to conclude their 31-minute bootcamp. Everyone had so much fun playing Musical Hula Hoops and linking hands to show-off their skills in moving a Hula Hoop from the one side to the other without breaking the link – everyone showed great teamwork!
The event was enjoyed by all and was a great success!
