This is just a quick update on schooling for the rest of the school year.

As you know, the Prime Minister has confirmed that all of New Zealand will move to the COVID-19 Protection Framework (CPF) at 11.59pm on Thursday 2 December. Last night I received confirmation from the Ministry of Education that for Auckland schools current public health measures and other requirements at Alert Level 3, Step 2 must stay in place for the remainder of the year.  This means we will continue with part-time school until 17 December 2021.

From 1 January 2022, schools will move to the COVID-19 Protection Framework. We are still awaiting guidance on exactly what is expected of schools under the new framework. This is currently being developed for the sector. I am hopeful the start of schooling next year resembles a back to school plan for everyone full-time, with safety measures in place.

As soon as I have this information, I will let you know.
