Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Today the Prime Minister has announced the continuation of Alert Level Three with another review expected next Monday. For school, this means the same procedures are in place. Essentially, school is still closed, distance learning continues from home.
Once again, the school will remain closed. With the exception of students whose caregivers do not have any other option but to send them to school. The same procedures will be in place. Students will continue their class distance learning from school in bubbles of no more than 10 students. Should you wish to enrol for next term under level three, we ask that you email us at [email protected] by no later than this coming Wednesday by 9.00am. Due to the challenges of staffing our bubbles and ensuring we are able to maintain the strict safety procedures under level three, we ask that no late requests are made. If you were already enrolled last term, we ask that you let us know again to confirm your attendance from Monday 18 October.
This is a very challenging time for everyone, but especially for those families with children. We are hopeful for a return to school sooner rather than later with the appropriate health and safety procedures in place. The leadership team and I have spent considerable time developing a revised return to school plan. This will be shared with you once we have the additional information from the Ministry of Education expected this week.
I will be in touch again after the announcement on Monday 18 October with the details of our return to school.
Best wishes,
Rachael Taylor
