Kia ora whanau,

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister tonight, from tomorrow for seven days Auckland will move to Alert Level 4.

School is Closed

The key message is that school is closed to everyone from tomorrow until we receive further information. No one is allowed to be on school grounds for any reason, not even me!

All Next Steps meetings on Thursday are cancelled at this time.

Distance Learning

Classroom distance learning will begin Thursday (19 August). We encourage all students to participate in Distance Learning at your discretion. With the mantra, family well-being should always remain the top priority. For ease of use, teachers will email the zoom link to you and this link stays the same for all zoom sessions for the classroom morning zoom.

Should you find our programme difficult to manage, do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, or alternatively the Associate Principal. We really appreciate feedback and we want all students to feel connected, capable and cared for.

You are welcome to access our generic distance learning programme anytime, if you are keen to get started tomorrow, using this link: https://sites.google.com/campbellsbay.school.nz/cbshomelearninglinks/distance-learning

Zooming

The set zoom times will continue as we have had before. A reminder that the purpose of the Zoom meetings are to reassure and connect. With additional zoom times or videos scheduled at the discretion of the teacher to increase instructional teaching time together with their students.

  • 9.00am – Year 0/1
  • 9.30am – Year 2
  • 10.00am – Year 3
  • 10.30am – Year 4
  • 11.00am – Year 5
  • 11.30am – Year 6

As no one is allowed to be on school grounds, at this time we are unable to provide a device to those who need it. As soon as we can, we will let you know.

As always, should anything change, you will hear from us. We know any type of lockdown is incredibly challenging, please look after yourselves and take care.

With best wishes to our community.
