Unnamed Lost Property

Tomorrow Tuesday 4 August, items of school clothing that are either unnamed or have the names of ex students, will be on display by the front gates (weather permitting).

Please check if these items belong to your children. If not claimed these items will be put in to our next second hand uniform sale.

Please ensure items of school clothing are clearly named. This makes it so much easier for us to reunite with your children!

School Closed

Campbells Bay School is closed on Friday 21 August as we will be engaging in professional development in accordance with the agreement with the Ministry of Education and the teachers’ union.

Murrays Bay Intermediate School and Rangitoto College will also be closed for instruction on Friday 21 August.

RED NOSE DAY

It was a brilliant day on Friday seeing the students dressed in red.

The Black Sticks came in to see the year 5 and 6’s, where they did a Q&A, a tik tok dance (link below) and played hockey with some students.

We also had Aziz from The AM Show to promote Red Nose Day at our school with Mela and her friends from CBS and Cure Kids. There is a link below if you missed the live broadcast.

Friday was a huge success with CBS supporting Cure Kids for Red Nose Day. As a school we raised $1640 for the research Cure Kids provide. Thank you so much for your donation.

Weekly News Roundup

Congratulations to Grace Wang from Room 19

Grace’s teacher Mrs Jo Kim submitted some of Grace’s artwork to Toi Toi magazine. Toi Toi is a school journal for young writers and artists.

Grace has been selected to be an illustrator for a poem written by another child at another school. Toi Toi received over 1000 submissions from students to be part of the next journal, and Grace was chosen, which is an incredible achievement.

We are very much looking forward to the publication of Toi Toi and seeing Grace’s creation.
