2011 Sir Brian Lochore visits CBS: 9th September

Sir Brian and Lady Lochore were surprise visitors to Campbells Bay School on the day of the opening of the Rugby World Cup, 9 September 2011. Oliver Charlesworth (above right) was a masterful master of ceremonies at a full school assembly where Sir Brian answered questions and gave an insight into what it was like in 1987 when he coached the All Blacks to victory at the inaugural world cup.

Sir Brian gave up a lot of his time to meet with children after the assembly and to give autographs to all those who wanted them. Sir Brian, a former All Black captain, is also the holder of the Order of New Zealand, an award created to recognise outstanding service to the Crown and to the people of New Zealand.
