2008 year 2 visit to the Aotea Centre: 4th December

Year 2 students had an awesome time at their special Christmas trip to the Aotea Centre. They learned all about the amazing coconut from a talented Pacific Island performer, heard a great original Christmas story presented live by author and artist Stu Duval - and Campbells Bay managed to win the original pastel drawing from the story in a short quiz against 3 other schools!

After lunch, the kids did a colouring contest and then were entertained once again with some cool music & dance by the Funky Monkeys - and a special visit from Santa and one of his fairies - who brought goodies to hand out to each school.

Campbells Bay's decorated Christmas tree looks amazing in the Centre's lower foyer, covered with doves and hearts created by our children - and even the bus home was Christmassy - what a wonderful time was had by all!
