2004 thank-you morning tea: 10th December

The weather was a little blustery, and so to protect everyone's hairstyles - and the yummy food - this year's annual Thank-You Morning Tea took place in the school hall.

Once again attendance was high, and everyone welcomed the opportunity to catch up with teachers and friends, meet new people, have a cup of tea or coffee and a yummy scone, Christmas cookie or savoury snack.

Principal John McGowan gave his customary speech after a thoughtful platform was provided for visibility purposes (thanks to Caretaker Geoff!) Staff and parents alike mingled, chatted, laughed, and ate (a very important part of morning tea!) for about an hour, and a good time was had by all.

Everyone was kept well-stocked with tasty snacks by a well-trained group of Year 6 students bearing trays of goodies, and some tireless mums serving hot drinks throughout.

The school would like to take this further opportunity to extend grateful thanks to all the support people and volunteers who make so much of our rich school-life possible. A special thanks goes to the parents who helped organise and run the Morning Tea! For anyone who is interested in helping, at the school or on trips and excursions, we encourage you to join in and become a part of this rewarding experience - everyone is welcome!
