2004 Minister for Education visit: 9th June

Hon Trevor Mallard visited Campbells Bay school on Wednesday 9 June 2004 too see how the school was sharing student assessment processes with the school's community. In particular, the Minister wanted to know how the school was using asTTle (Assessment Tools for Teaching and Learning). According to the Minister's press release, asTTle is a "ground-breaking tool far superior to compulsory national testing." (CBS agrees).

The Minister was present during a presentation by the school's deputy principal, Lara Syddall, to members of the school's community on the asTTle programme. He then spoke on the benefits of asTTle. Campbells Bay School has a commitment to improving student achievement. Assessing data using the asTTle programme has an increasingly important role in our assessment processes.
